Let me go straight to the point for this post on the relevant dates that shall be remembered. I have not much time to waste but really want to post some stuff here. Anyway, here it goes.

Date: 12th July 2007

As 12am strikes, messages started to flood my handphone. I know it is my birthday but I felt so reluctant to celebrate it. I dont know why but I guess its because I feel moody for the past few days regarding on many issues; studies, projects and many more. Things seems to be more complicated. However, I really appreciate those who had sent me their SMSes for wishing me. Thanks alot to you people, making my day to be better.

How am I gonna start it? Well, let's start from the SMSes first. The first SMS was from my dear friend, Cherrie. I was really shock when I saw the message is because of her sincerity. Imagine a friend sending an SMS from Australia just to wish you 'Happy Birthday', isnt that amazing and touching. It's very rare to have such wonderful friends around. Anyway, back to the story, Eugene send me his greetings, as well as Cindy. The following morning around 7 plus, more SMSes flooded in and I was disturbed from my sleep. Haha... I dont mind but as usual, I was really feeling relectant to celebrate.

I went to school for lessons till 7pm and I was late meeting the gang for dinner. I was stuck with my Business Law project and it really make me go crazy, as I need to redo my stuff for the report. I met the gang; Chris, Eugene, Yun Ting, Jimmy, Kian Wee and Ivy; at yishun Golden Village and we had dinner at Long John Silver. I supposed they know that I wont want them to buy any gifts but they still do it. Although it was a T-shirt and shoes, I was still happy enough for their effort to buy them. Haha... That wasnt the end of the whole celebration.

Thanks to Yun Ting's distraction, they brought out a cake from nowhere and started to sing "Happy Birthday" out loud at the fastfood restuarant. I was startled but felt embarassed. Well, I still enojoy my day spending that dinner with them. After the meal, we went to walk around the reservior at Yishun and Kian Wee and I sent Chris back home. Although time was limited but I thank everyone for the wishes they give.

Hmmm... Let me just list the number of people I really want to thank again. Chris, Yun Ting, Ivy, Eugene, Jack Long, Jia Long, Gavin, Raymond, Jimmy, Cherrie, Doris, Xin Lin, Cindy, Cynthia, Rachel, Yi Tian, Pauline, Yong Hong and many more that I could not remember... Thanks for the wishes. May you people smile all day, as that's part of my wish, which is to make sure everyone will be happy at all times. Anyway, for Cindy, I will make sure that what I say is what I mean... Sometimes, its a must to let bygones be bygones... so no worries about me as I'm smiling like I'm before. :D


Date: 17th July 2007

I didnt expect V.J. to throw a party after my birthday was over, which is like nearly a week ago?! He only realised that my birthday was over when I met him for gym on Saturday. As usual, he wont get to know this piece of information as I keep my bithdate low profile. Secondly, to me, I still think everyday is a normal day. There isnt any necessary for people to celebrate my birthday as I wont get day off for such occasion in schools. If there is, WOW!!! That would be the best gift I will have on that day; to skip all lessons and let me have enough sleep, probably 10 hours or more??!!

Well, I was busy doing my stuff in my SBM free-access lab when V.J. called and asked if I'm free later. I was supposing to teach Henry but I didnt have the time, since I promised V.J. to have dinner with the gang. Anyway, things start to go haywire when Charissa called me and complained about certain things regarding the dinner. I expected what she's gonna say but I dont know why I feel that hurt. Maybe I just dont want people to feel that its my 'birthday celebration' that spoils the mood of someone else. Well, things were settled after an hour but I felt the sharp pain in my brain after listening to Charissa's words. I guess I was too stress up with my report that my brain go bonkers and wild stuff starts to hit my mind.

Anyway, dinner was at Swensons. We waited till everyone was there and we started to order our food. I was stunned to see V.J. giving me my birthday gift, which was a MP3 player; Zen Stone Plus. COOL!!! I really need to thank him for giving such an expensive present. Actually, the celebration in Swensons is enough but I didnt expect him to buy a MP3 player for me. Things went to a higher level when they bought an ice-cream cake for me. Gosh! By then, I was thinking how much would there be spending for my birthday celebration. I managed to fool the staff of Swensons that Jeremy was me and it worked. Haha... Poor lady who put the cake on the table, in front of Jeremy, that shock the wits out of him.

Anyway, Charissa went back and the rest were having ice-cream. Haha... It was a fun outing but too bad, we need to go back early as the next day is a long day for everyone. We have schooling and other stuff so the celebration was cut short. Well, before I end this short entry for that day, thanks again to Vincent, Yao Xing, V.J., Jeremy, Valerie, Charissa, Reeza and Yao Xing's friend... Thanks for being there on that 'celebration' that was supposing for me. I really have no words to describe my feeling but gratitude is all I have. Thanks alot...


Date: 21th July 2007

It's Mum's birthday!! My Sister and I didnt prepare any presents for her, which I dont think its necessary. My Mum will definitely nag at me if I spend money on stuff that are not useful. Since both of my Sister and I could not decide what is the perfect gift, we decide to cook a meal for Mum. That would be a better way since it wont be too difficult at all.

In the end, my Sister went to buy the ingredients and I told her we gonna cook some black pepper spaghetti for Mum. Anyway, things was more complicated after that. Its been a long time since I touch the wok and cook. The last time I could vividly remembered was 2 years ago, when I was preparing for my O Levels F&N examination. Well, that wasnt the big concern that I was having in my mind. The biggest problem is I dont know how to cook black pepper spaghetti. The dish that we are cooking is known as "Anyhow Cook", which we just add in the ingredients and cook. we just hope Mum would not have a tummyache after eating thats all. Haha...

I was in-charge of cutting the sasuages and mushrooms while my Sister do the cleaning of the squids and prawns. Once we are done, we started to cook. First, cook the sausages and mushrooms and later, add in the prawns and squids. After that, add in some water to make the sauce for the dish and lastly the black pepper sauce. Everything was quite fine but ended up weird. We did a wrong procedure, which is to add some corn flour into the sauce to make sure it thickens. Instead of adding it in a small cup of water first, I just pour the flour into the sauce. Wrong step! I guess I was not doing that well on that. That wasnt the end. I supposed we want to have the 'black pepper taste' so we add in many drops of pepper into the sauce, after having 1/2 bottle of black pepper sauce in the mixture.

Dinner was served and guess what, it has the 'black pepper taste'. It ended up with my Mum saying that we had made the wrong move of adding the flour into the sauce rather than first on a cup of water before adding it into the mixture. While my aunt and uncle, who were there, there were sniffing while eating. i guess it was too 'pepperish' for them. Anyway, not only them, I was sniffing too. Maybe I need to brush up my skills for cooking. Haha...

After dinner, I went to meet the gang for soccer. I told myself to score goals for my Mum that day and I did. 2 goals against our opponents. One of the goals is when I stopped the ball at the line and dragged it back and push it towards the goal. Cool!! Overall, I scored on that day, with a hat-trick against our own mates. Although I didnt score a hat-trick in the 1st match, it is enough after I conclude the game with 5 goals on that day. Scoring the crucial goal against Szaywan's team when we were both in the scoreline of 2-2, a mid volley saw the game ended, just in time when the lights went out. That's for you, Mum... Happy birthday...

That night, or should I say the wee hours of the next day, I cycled to Sun Plaza at 4 plus to meet Eugene and gang, who were staying over at Macdonalds to study. I took my Uncle's bicyle and cycle over (I didnt ask his permission anyway...) but I end up cycling back home, totally wet. I started to pour around 5.15am and at that time, Eugene and I were having breakfast; instant noodles. Haix... I cycled back all drenched but I feel very good. Its been quite some time since I got drenched under such a heavy downpour and the morning was feezing.

Anyway, I went to sleep after my shower but guess what, no one in the family knows what I have done at that hour. While for my uncle, I guess he knows what has happened, I assumed. He complained that something was wrong with his bicycle as it was wet, which seems impossible as his bicycle was not parked near his kitchen window when the downpour begins. Hmm.. He think there's a ghost in his home??? I guess I know how to answer that question; that ghost was me!! Haha... yet, he still dont know about it....


Date: 28th July 2007

Andy and Eric joined us for soccer today, which was quite a good thing. We have been lacking of players to play soccer since the gang starts to have their work and studies. Just simply a year after our Secondary school life and everything has changed. Is it a good thing or a bad thing, I dont know but that day, I just wish both Andy and Eric would enjoy the play.

I know Eric wont like it as he prefers to play with more people. He thinks that with more people around, it would be fun. That was the thing that worries me. While for Andy, I told him to join me since he feels like kicking a ball, which he hasnt for the past few months. Still, I was worried that both of them wont like the mini-play but the good point is both of them are Liverpool supporters and I wish they could just mingle around, know more friends and enjoy the game... Gosh! Being a friend of 2 different sides could be so tough...

Anyway, I managed to score some great goals, thanks to Andy's help. He was there at the right moment while I mis-kicked the ball a few times. Anyway, I was doing too much tricks at one moment, as I was using the Cyruff kick frequently, which is to cut the ball when your opponents are in front of you. I guess I was totally worn out when the clock strikes at 9 plus. The last game I had was a 5 goal scoreline but we lost by a goal, as the score was 5-4. Well, it wasnt that bad but I think I need to rest well. Wednesday would be the race in NYP and I need to run to warm-up my feet. Andy was feeling much better as he didnt have sports for the past few months and was enjoying it... Phew...

Well, at least everyone went back home happily.... While for me, I had work the next day. I end up dozing off very easily while working at the swimming pool as it was a morning shift... Haha... I was too tired I guess but still, I must learn to be alert at all times. Hmmm... Responsibilities play a big part when you are a lifeguard. ZZzz....


Date: 1st August 2007

The race is here and I just feel the tension of participating the Campus Road Run in NYP. Yeah... Its a run that guys would complete 4km while gals would challenge the 2.4km run. While for me, I was participating the Team run, which consist of Zulfadli, Kenny, Andy and me. I was not feeling that good as I had a tummyache earlier before the race. Imagine competing with around more than 100 guys, its amazing if you are 1st or 2nd in the race, which to me its impossible.

The race starts after the Director sounded the horn but it was not a good sign for Zul. He wanted to go to the loo to relieve himself but failed to do so. Well, he was running very fast, with Andy just next to him. While for Kenny, he was way behind. After running one round of the stadium, we went to run around the campus. By then, I was loosing my energy as I'm not runner with slow twitch muscles. Soon, Kenny caught up with me and went passed me, whereas for Andy, he was behind me after that.

I managed to run the entire race within 20 minutes. I'm not sure of my timing but it is estimated to be at 20 minutes, which is a good sign, I guess as it is my first competitive run in NYP. What's best is that I was in the 44th position. I was happy with my achievement but still, I guess I could do better. Zul ended up being 3rd in the race while Kenny was 15th. Andy, who was not feeling that well that day finished at 57th.

As the lucky draw and race prizes were announced, everyone was feeling bored. It ended up Zul going to his club's training while Andy and Kenny went for a swim. I need to go back to my Clubroom to get my stuff for a shower but while I was walking, I heard Kenny's name, as well as Andy and Zul. I was just next to the swimming pool so I shout across to them to tell them what I had heard. Haha... Andy soon went up with me to collect our medals; a bronze for team run. Cool!! First run as a team and we had such an achievement. All thanks to Kenny and Zul for their efforts to be the top 20 runners. While for Andy, he did his part. Haha...

I went to the pool the join the rest. I took off my shirt and went into the water. It was quite cooling and I need that kind of water to relax my muscles. Haha... Anyway, thanks to the guys, I managed to complete my first ever 4km run in my entire life as a student. It was also an important thing for me as I will be organising such marathons as I would be having my TEP attachment in the school gym. Now I get a rough idea of how they manage their events... I guess our class could improve it??? I hope so...

Before I end this part, I also want to thank someone who I did not know. Thanks to this gal (I dont know her CCA), who told me to run all the way since I was just 200 metres before completing the race. I dont know you but your words of encouragement did inspired me. Thanks alot... May you enjoy the future runs in NYP as well as other successes in future competitions.... :D
