2 Weeks... Till Last Week... [Long update..]

Finally, I have the mood to post an entry again. Currently, there are no reports for me to rush during the weekends so I can spare a little time to blog over here. My blog seems to be so dead but never mind. Thanks for those who have been tagging over here… Yeah… Even if it is some crap, I also won’t mind at all. =]

Well, let’s move back, all the way back to 17th May first, while I start to say my last few points of the Charity Soccer Tournament at the Cage. Alright!! I shall start then…

May 17 - Charity Soccer Tournament

Getting the award of 2nd Runner-Up was not that bad at all. We manage to score a high goal difference but it was just luck that was not at our side, which ends us getting 3rd among all the 7 teams. At least, WE STILL WIN SOMETHING!! RIGHT??!!

Well, a few people to thank for the entire tournament, that I think its worth thanking them in my blog for what they had done.

Jack – As usual, the ‘technician’ of the team, guiding the team with the tactics to ensure that we win the game. It will be hard without him in the team as the team might not win due to confusion of our positions. Right tactics, right techniques, right vision = win the game!

Eugene – A great passer and seriously an accurate scorer for crucial games. Although both of us keep changing our roles continuously, it was still good that we are able to keep up with the pace and size of our opponents. For once, I do admit that both of us should say “Size isn’t a problem for us!” If Eugene don’t know what am I talking about, well, you can think back about Bala’s team, the guy that we against.

Jimmy – Although he never scores a single goal in the entire tournament, he did his best to past the ball to us, contributing and assisting most of the goals. Well, at least he was the rock of our team’s defense, it was 5 star performance from him.

Sheng - I do not know him well but for one thing, he sure is a power shooter, just like Gerrard’s volley. I’m not saying that he’s similar to Gerrard or else Eugene will be jealous. Haha… Well, most of all, his powerful shots forced the ball into the net had helped the team to win crucial matches as well. He’s a great forward that has everything to be a precise striker of any team.

Kenneth – The guardian of the goalpost! He might be injured but he will try and strive his best to win the game. I am not a good goalie but I do admit his guts to save the ball no matter how powerful is his shot. We finally found a quality goalie for the team, after 3 years as the tournament was held. Not saying Eugene is bad but he’s better at the midfield zone!

Wei Teck (That’s me!) – Well, there is nothing to say about my abilities. As usual, I have improved my passing and do more teamwork. I managed to learn something from Jack, which is to distract your opponents. Haha… But the next thing I shall practice on is my shooting. Weak legs of mine… Well, training starts everyday! Never give up is the way to motivate me to be stronger and better then.

Alright… That’s all for the Charity Soccer Tournament comments. Its time to move on!! Next up, 21st and 24th May, Lunchtime and Prison performance respectively by V.E.!!

May 21st & May 24th - V.E. Performances

The lunchtime performance in the school library was a better performance compared to the previous week at the school library. This time, we were singing because we were helping to collect funds from students to help the people who were affected by the cyclone in Myanmar and the earthquake in China. Everyone was just doing their part in charity. Hence, we sing hard, the rest of the students please donate hard. =]

Well, the performance ended with a classic finish of the song, ‘I’ll make The Difference”. As we began to sing, some of the audience started to wave their arms to show their support. I was going to laugh while singing but concentration is very important while a performance is done. Never mind about that, a standing ovation from the audience as we sang finish the song, with a great hype in it. Passion!! That’s what I meant!!

Next up for that week was the performance at the prison. I forgotten what was the prison but anyway, I shall not describe the location, to play it safe. Well, we went there with the dance groups such as Foreign Bodies and Ballroom Dancers. It was a weird feeling when I entered the place. It was so quiet that everyone needed to be discipline and the air was stiff enough to make you feel that the silence was terrible.

However, once we started performance to the guys of the prison, we learnt a lot from each other. It does not mean that talent does play a part in a person to develop something. It is the passion and positive thinking that make things work. We did it! The prisoners did it! Well, I do enjoy their performance after all. Once we were done, we went back to school and took a photo or two before we head to Carl’s Junior for dinner, to celebrate Cai Yun aka. ‘Chip’ birthday. =]

It was my first time eating Carl’s Junior and it was delicious. The only problem that I had was how to open my mouth wider to squeeze the burger into my mouth. Gosh! Food can be a real trouble sometimes…

May 25th - Adidas Sales & Food Fair @ Singapore Expo

I met up with Auntie Emily to visit the Adidas sales at the Singapore Expo since she wants to go there and take a look. For me, I was very tired, thanks to a call from Andy that morning around 2am. It was luckily that I started to doze off at 1.55am before he called. Otherwise, I will be killing for sure just for disturbing my sleep.

Anyway, for the entire day, I bought a pair of leisure shoes, a ball (for the team to play every week), a jacket (Han Xiong’s) and a cap (Liverpool) from the Adidas sales. First of all, why should I buy a ball since I have one at home? Well, the current ball that we have now is really like a piece of junk. The skin’s fade off, the texture is just like peeling. Well, it is also good to have a new ball isn’t it? Plus, the pricing of the ball is worthwhile to buy, only $15!

Next, a cap that has the logo of ‘Liverpool’? Now this is interesting but Auntie Emily is a die-hard Liverpool supporter. Well, her entire family is a Liverpool supporter. In addition, it seems her whole family, including aunts and uncles, all support Liverpool! What do I have to say about that?!! Well, as a boyfriend of hers, I guess, even being a Manchester United fan, I should try to support Liverpool too. There’s Torres, Gerrard, Alonso, Babel… and there goes the list. Yeah! A small cap to show my minimal support for the club. Yet, if it’s a match between Manchester United against Liverpool, Liverpool can be out of the question for that! Muhahaha!!!

** By the way, Liverpool jerseys were all sold off by the 3rd and last day of the sales. Whereas for Chelsea, there’s still a bunch of it. Liverpool fans do toppled the rest of the club supporters in Singapore after all. =X

Once done, we head to the Food Fair, which was just nearby, to look at the products there were selling. I bought some mushroom balls, as well as some buns, that are my favourite. I forgot what are they but its sweet and its tasty. Yeah!! Food fair!! That’s all.

Hmmm… Well, I shall update the rest probably tonight then. That’s for last week. =]

Lazy...

I've been busy for the past few days. Busy with projects, busy with activities... Gosh!! I wish to update now but since I was too addicted with Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, I did not manage to type out a post for today. Well, I guess its gonna be tomorrow then. Tests are starting next week. Hope its gonna be good...

Moody...

Charity Soccer 2008 - Details...

Charity Soccer had just ended a few days ago and our team got 3rd. We had the highest goal difference but yet we still got 3rd as we lost the rest in points. Well, I was there early in the morning to help out in the refereeing and I was suffering a slight cramp on my right calf that morning. I thought I was just nervous or I did not have sufficient fluid in my body. Well, I was wrong as it stayed on throughout the games I played.

Our first match started at 11am and we lost 1-0. We were against team Ridwan but it was our team’s mistake that lead to that goal. Well, the second match was better, which boost our morale with a convincing 4-0 win. Jack, Sheng, Eugene and I managed to score a goal each against Mr Sham son’s team. Nice job by everyone. =]

We make narrow wins after that against teams like Bala’s; 2-0 win; and Nizam; 1-0 win. However, we lost to Alex’s team, this time, another mistake by our teammates. It was Alex who scored the crucial goal, which cost us 3 points but no matter what happens, we still need to face it. We are playing as a team and communication was not enough. Yet, we still think that we did well in our defense against a strong team like Alex.

The last game was against Aidi, the pioneers of Canberra Secondary, also my seniors. All I could say is that they are the champions for the whole tournament but they can’t beat us, for consecutive 3 years in a row. The first time we against them, we won by 2-1. The second year was 1-0 and this year, we won by 2-0 margin. I was their cult star, with me scoring against them for the past 3 years. The first year with a penalty, second came with a shot between the goalie’s legs and this year, a tap-in thanks to Jack’s pass. I managed to add on the margin with another goal by Jack, by passing the ball to him as the goalie and the defender clashed together. It was pass that went through the small gap that allows Jack to slot the ball in.

We got 3rd but at least, we still did it again, winning something back. Although the trophy looks nice, made of glass, it looks weird as it is being fixed in an unbalance way. Well, maybe I can put the picture the next time if I’m free. Alright, this year’s hard work is shown. Next year, we will get stronger. However, how many of us will still be playing together as a team? I don’t know. I might be in my National Service by then… Haix…

CSS Charity Soccer 08 - Hours Before...

A few more hours before the team go for the battle with 6 other teams in the Canberra Secondary School Alumni Charity Soccer. Well, this event has been hosted a few years ago by students and teachers to promote students to take part in sports, as well as helping needy students of the school by donating money in this meaningful charity drive.

It all started when a bunch of guys, who loved soccer and started to plan such event to the whole school. From a simple school event to a well-recognized one, the charity soccer had evolved in many ways. From the school field to the Cage in Kallang, this shows the drastic changes that have been done over the years to make this event to be a successful one. Sponsors and celebrities helped out in this event to ensure that charity makes the world go round with love. Now, we are making things possible to the needy students.

Before its time to stop this post, I just say a silent prayer that everything goes smoothly later morning. The top 3 positions would be good but what matters most play the game with your heart. Every one has a goal in mind while playing. Some play for glory, some for determination and some, to prove what is needed to be done to justify others. For me, I play for 2 reasons, to play the best out of me, and lastly, delicate the goals that I have scored if possible to a friend.

It’s been some time since Te Seng’s departure and seriously, it reminds me of him playing soccer with us a few years ago. The goals from the team are for you, rest well. =]

Lunchtime Concert... 爱与希望...

Lunchtime Concert! It’s always been the time for all arts CCAs to perform at the library whenever the period for Lunchtime Concert arrives. For me, that morning wasn’t that good as many things happened. Our voices were not really warm up or were not at there on time. Mr Ong was not in a good mood by then as it seems that all of a sudden, all our problems came out in an instant which he wondered what had happened to us the day before.

Well, at the end of the performance, everything still went on smoothly and the hiccups were not that obvious. It is just that our voices could not be heard properly as it might be absorbed by the walls and carpet, which does affects the sound quality in one way or another. That night, there was another practice but things was not that good too. Many could not turn up and Mr Ong, again, was getting pissed off. Well, at least he slowly took some time to cool down and everything was fine again.

Not trying to tell the whole story and start blaming people. However, I believe if each of us played a part to turn up for practice, it would not be a big problem at all. Sound quality wise, I guess I have no comments about that. Let’s just give this stuff to the people who are talented in choral music to explain the matter. =]

This morning isn’t that good at all. Thanks to Doris, or else I would miss a tutorial for today. I thought that tutorial was not going to be taken place since Mr. Lionel was out of his office that day. Yet, I forgotten the part, “Prema would take over his lesson”, which caused the confusion. Well, the worst was I brought the wrong book for lecture. Instead of Quality Management, I brought Principles of Coaching. -.-“

I ended up doing my own research with my laptop outside the lecture theatre. The whole afternoon was me staying in the clubroom and doing my own stuff. I told myself to do some stuff for my W.H.P. but yet I failed to do anything at all. I have been too lazy to do anything. Gosh!! Someone just slap me from behind and make sure I’m awake from now?

Before I end, I guess these days’ people have difficulties faced in their lives. Like the cyclone at Myanmar and earthquake in China, causing great destruction to many homes, killing lots of people. May the rest souls be in peace. I can’t help much but at least, giving them a silent prayer and read the news of the updates would be the perfect way of helping.

And lastly, to show his contribution to the earthquake in China, JJ Lin Jun Jie has written a song for them. Maybe it’s a boost of encouragement for the victims that are affected. It’s a nice song but seriously, that is why I admire his talent, to compose wonderful songs within days, short and sweet. Below are the lyrics. Enjoy listening…

Song: 爱与希望
Artiste: JJ

Mothers Day Celebration... Difficult Monday...

Mothers Day; a day that celebrates the hard work of all mothers have done for the past year. Many tend to say that mothers are the best in the world as they are the ones who do all the chores or work a living to ensure that the family has a better life. That is why they are known as noble people, which also adds on to this song, ‘世上只有妈妈好’. Cool…

What I did for such a significant event? Yeah, just celebrate! In the morning, I was helping my sister to cook something for my Mum. Although both of us are not at making stuff or organizing outings, Mum prefers us to do the most simple and cost-saving method. Hence, we decide to cook each year for her to have a nice meal for the day.

As usual, the same old dishes but since my sister wants to do it, I just help her and teach her how to do the proceedings of cooking the food. We went out during the afternoon to visit my Aunt first, before heading to my God-Grandma’s house for dinner. It’s actually a nice dinner, which I ate 2 plates! I didn’t know that I could eat too much that day, which might be due to the stress I had while finding information about cars running in water crap. It isn’t easy but I still manage to complete at the end of the day. Phew~

Monday was lesson time and luckily, the runs were all short distances and I did not feel any strain on my legs, which is a blessing. I’m having competitions for my secondary school alumni event this Saturday and I really need to recover soon, especially my shin. Gosh! Well, we also did some stretching before the class ends. My legs seem to be in agony when Bing pushed my leg upwards, to tear the muscle fibre to encourage a better stretch for my legs. Ouch…

V.E. was at night and I was really tired. I think I did not sleep well these days and it has affected me a lot. Even right now, which is 8pm, I’m feeling a bit tired. Well, we had learnt half of the song of Catate Domino, which is quite an easy piece but the high notes need to do some brushing on it.

The rest of the practice was terrible. I keep going off-key and I can’t hit the high notes. I was feeling very difficult; 辛苦; and very weird. Maybe that is why there’s a saying ‘When you get to see the person you love the most, no matter how tired you are, you still can put up a smile and be energetic at all times.’ Was I losing my strength last night? Zzzz…

Well, I’m probably tired because of the swim that I went for just now with Andy. The day was fine till I failed to pick up someone’s call while I was swimming. Haix… I’m sorry for not picking up. Very sorry. Please smile alright? It’s not on purpose… =/

Shin Injury... Happy Mothers Day!

After a ‘great’ massage from my Aunt, who came over to stay over for a night at my house, I felt total pain all over my body. She (Aunt) is a massage therapist, who helps people to heal their aches by massaging, as well as the ‘beat-the-hell-up’ tactics on you to ensure that you recover.

Poor me, I was the ‘lucky’ guy who got beaten up tonight. The worst came when she touched my injured shin, which I hurt yesterday during soccer. The story behind that injury was because of a game, when the guy just wants to beat us, shoot the ball, but before that, after kicking my shin with his leg. Yeah, right now, my shin looks a bit weird compared to the other leg. It looks like there is a dent on my shin. Gosh! That sure worries me but I hope I would be fine the next few days, and not having a fracture… TOUCHWOOD…

Well, just some updates as usual, I was having lesson on Friday and after I head back home from school, I went to meet Auntie Emily and accompany her to her workplace. She was tired but I just hope she could bear with it that day. Her shoulder, wrist and back still hurts a lot and all I could do that day was just giving her massages on her wrist. =/

Night came and it’s soccer time. I left early as I decided to give Auntie Emily a surprise visit to her workplace before she knocks off from work. Anyway, the team managed to win all matches that night, except for the last one, when I’m not around. I managed to score a goal, which was quite lucky. A loose ball from an interception, I cut the ball to the left, avoiding the goalie, before slotting it with my outer foot, even with a player came back to guard the goal post but its too late. Nice! I failed to score a second goal from Eugene’s pass but at least, I did make a few efforts of assisting.

The first assist was a pass from me at the touchline, to Jimmy who tapped the ball in. He assumed that I was going to cross the ball for a header but think again, when did I know how to cross a ball? LOL! That’s the point that he has forgotten. The next one was again to Jimmy, which I hope he could head it but it when directly to the goalie. The goalie’s mistake for not holding the ball firmly pays the price as Jimmy gives it a shot and it went in for goal. Lastly, to Eugene! I got the ball, push it up front and managed to square the ball to him, before he makes his own run and slotted the ball into the goal. Nice touch!

Well, I met Auntie Emily that night again, and while she took a nap on the bus, I just try my best to continue massaging on her wrist. I know she had been scooping ice creams for many hours so I guess, its time for her to rest. Once I send her home, it was time I head home for rest, as I need to head back to Canberra Secondary for Mr. Lathif’s help in my Calculus.

Calculus is difficult but actually, more practice that I have done does help me to understand what I am learning after all. It isn’t that hard, especially I have a deep interest in Mathematics when I was in Secondary school. It is one of my best subjects in my school days. Well, thanks Mr. Lathif, spending the time to help me even though he is still unwell. Owe you one!

Swimming training followed later that night, and I was dying for rest after the entire training. We performed a few tows, which I have been not doing regularly since I skipped training many times this year. The worst came when I need to tow 2 people at one go, which I could not figure out how to do it. Maybe its about having more practice that makes the job easy. Haha…

Alright, time to rest now. Before I go, I wish all mothers a Happy Mothers Day. =]

** I don’t know what you are thinking but all I know is that, you must enjoy your day with Mummy during Mothers Day alright? =] L.U.

Sore Legs.... Results Are Out!!

WOOT! I just managed to look at my results for my past 6 months of hard work in my TEP attachment. Below are the results that I scored:

Teaching Enterprise Practices - A

Customer Service & Personnel Management - C+

Introduction to Business Process & Project Management - B

Without a doubt, I'm happy for what I have scored, especially for putting so much effort and learnt many things in the attachment period in school. Times such as being an Administrator of the gym and helping out in many events for SPT makes me think about joining such events in the future if there's a chance again.

I did not expect that my Project Management could get a 'B' grade as I thought my strengths should be in Customer Service. However, it turned out to be an opposite issue. Although everything is over, I need to concentrate to get higher scores for my coming modules that I'm taking, to ensure that I score high for my G.P.A. and able to apply a degree for Sports Management as I head for University. Learning never ends... Yeah! True, if you really put an effort and work hard on it.

Alright, tutorials can be a killer these days, especially when it comes to Coaching. its fun but at the end of the way, probably using too much force to do all the running, I end up having aches on my upper back, both thighs and slightly at the shin. I could not really walk properly, as I was dragging myself to school the next day. What a torture. Well, at least it is still much better than before but my body is still aching. The fatigue of my body seems to show a weakness in my body strength; anaerobic fitness. Guess I gonna do some training on some jumps and sprintings. Gosh! It's not that easy to be fit after all. =X

Hmm.. Before I sleep, guess Auntie Emily is still not asleep since she's hurting on her shoulder and wrist. It has been hurting for the past few days. Plus, that big blur blur accidentally deleted her blog by mistake, losing all her posts. =X Well, what matters most is I hope she gets well as soon as possible. Going to the doctor... I guess its time for her to make an appointment...

Soccer, Basketball, Swimming, Roller-blading!!!

My toe is swollen and it is hurting for no reason. I played soccer on Friday, Basketball on Saturday morning and swimming at night. I don’t feel the pain at all for the past 2 days and today? … Gosh?!! What’s wrong with my body? Weird… -.-“

Friday’s soccer was disastrous, with 2 loses and a win. Before I head on for that, I had ‘dinner’ with Auntie Emily at Yishun. Tasty laksa that spice up your life, and me, who could not take too spicy food, started to come out with stupid sounds from my mouth, craving for water to kill the flames in my mouth.

Well, for soccer, I did not score a goal but at least, I assisted a goal for Jimmy, with an essential pass that makes a difference for the first game. However, the second game that I played was really bad. Is it fatigue or just plain stubborn? I don’t know but all I could say I could not play well and losing my position all the time. Confusion with the back-line might be the reason for that. Alumni Day Soccer for Canberra Secondary is coming soon and what kind of torture are we facing with such play? Gosh… Someone please give me a lifeline?

Basketball was pathetic that morning, with only Wai Chung, Raymond, Jia Long and I playing. Fun as usual but I was a lucky person. I just came, did a 3-pointer shot and guess what, I managed to score 6 times from one area to another continuous, at the 3-point area. WOOT!! Just a few simple games and a match and we head back for home.

My day did not end so easily as I feel like cooking at home, thanks to the pasta I ate a few days ago that gives me the interest to try cooking. Anyway, the food was tasty and has no ‘poison’ in it. Every one who ate it was all safe and sound. Haha… Nights was swimming and guess what, it was fun being a coach in replica, where I got my friends to do various sets to train our backstroke and butterfly stroke. Cool isn’t it. Gosh! I hope we get to do this every week, as I’m motivated to kill the fats on my abs, to make sure I’m not labeled ‘FAT’ by someone. =X

Back to today’s story, it was East Coast Park cycling with the V.E. peeps. Cai Yun, Kah Hong, Paul, Ping Ding, Xiu Hui, Eric, Benjamin, Winnie, Auntie Emily and I were there for all the fun and laughter. Some were cycling and some, roller-blading. I was cycling at first but since Paul was facing difficulty with his blading, I gave it a try and guess what, I was feeling comfortable with it, blading for nearly 2 hours. Gosh! I don’t blade at all, just do ice skating. Hence, it is a MIRACLE to blade today. Haha…

Some of us got injuries while blading. I got mine from Auntie Emily’s bicycle, which the wheel hits my leg while I hold onto her to be my catalyst to move forward. Kah Hong and Cai Yun had wounds that need some antiseptics to prevent infections on them. Winnie and Ping Ding had fell many times as they are not good with blading yet wish to try. Now that’s what I call the spirit to try! Haha…

Well, I hope to upload pictures of that as soon as possible. One day of fun, and tomorrow, its time for school again. Yeah! Fun time is short but it is more important, especially using the time wisely and spent it for fun and laughter. =]

Labour's Day 2008

Working in the morning shift during Labour’s Day… Although I’m tired now, I still can type out one post before I turn up for bed. Anyway, the weather was perfectly fine during the early morning but once it is noon, it was a terrible weather that I have put myself into. Luckily there is a break for each lifeguard, where we would take our rest in the Lifeguard room, which is air-conditioned. Or else, we will be like ice cream, melting while doing our duty.

Talk about ice cream, I finally ate the Hip Hop Jelly Ice Cream that Auntie Emily did ate once. Well, it tastes quite different from normal ice creams as it’s a jelly. Each bite gives your tongue the sensation of sweetness… Yummy!

Anyway, I watched Iron Man today at Yishun Golden Village with V.J., Yao Xing and Reeza. Although we did not talk much, I still enjoy the movie. If you like action pack shows and you do enjoy watching ‘Spiderman 1’, this movie will suite you as it tells you the making of the Iron Man, from a normal human to a superhero. The best part would be the fighting scenes, when the graphics are so real. I start to fall in love with the reddish yellow suit of the metal machine. Cool!

Time’s up for now. Guess I shall rest soon. Rest~ Rest~ ^ _ ^

Calculus... Sad...

Calculus sucks, yet I’ve decided to stay onto the lesson and continue to study that module since it does not affect my results at all. I was having a slight headache while formulas are being thrown at me, bombarding my mind with all the equations that I have no idea of solving. By the end of the 1st break, I was having low confidence and feel that I should drop the module. I went to Mr. Lionel’s office to have a talk with him about the matter but luckily, he told me that there’s nothing to lose even if I flung the exam. I mean, it isn’t that bad, if I don’t take the exam if I’m not ready and still, it does not affect my results.

Anyway, I really need to thank Eric and Sheryl for their encouraging words. Yeah! Calculus; also known as A Maths to me, is difficult but I should never give up on the module too. Everyone tried and they know that it is hard but they still can do it! Why can’t I? I mean… Even Auntie Emily also past me her notes, hoping it will help, hence I should continue and work hard. Yeah! That builds up the motivation… Hope so…

Well, nothing much today but I’m feeling quite moody now. I don’t understand at all what sometimes a person is thinking in their mind, maybe I don’t understand at all. I just have this weird feeling whenever you tell me “Don’t know” and “Don’t want”, making me feel that I’m being isolated from you. Is it because of any mistakes that I’ve done before or what I had said did hurt you? I’m now the one who is asking questions yet I could not find the answer to your short replies and the fading smile in you.

I just really hope you do know that someone does care about you but I really need you to tell me something about what’s bugging in your heart. I know I’m a stupid fool, a 大笨蛋 at times but at least, tell me something, let me take care of you. You did many things for me yet I could not do anything in return, making me feel so helpless at times. I just wish that I could be the one to be by your side no matter what happens, as well as doing my duties as the guy I should be to you.

I asked whether if I’m very nagging but you said I wasn’t. Now think again, I just can’t get the answer of all the guesses. If you read this post, could you tell me something about what has happened these days? I will still wait for your call, 24 – 7, waiting for your voice out the words from your heart, be the one to stand next to you no matter what and help you as much I could.

That’s all I guess. Time to sleep now… I wish to say “love you” but I guess, before I say that, I guess I should say “I miss you a lot”, while waiting for the time that I could spent with you, even just a simple task such as sending you home… =[
