Syenergy 2009 Adventure Race

To post an entry at this hour is tiring enough. I had just completed my school's Syenergy 2009 Adventure Race and after coming back home from a dinner at Suntec City, I feel shagged. The bad news is that there are plenty of obstacles that I need to complete with my partner, Ping Ding. While for the good news, we managed to attain the 5th position of the race, out of probably 15 teams? Cool!

We initially told ourselves that we would aim for the last spot as Ping Ding did not have the time to train back her fitness level. I was just her pacer for the race but before the race commences, we decided to aim for 2nd last instead. With the final results shown that we had got 5th position, it was a happy news for us, especially to Ping Ding, who felt that she had made alot of achievement from this race. As for me, I will be happy too, especially it was an unexpected result that I feel that I could not get it at all without anyone's help.

Just to keep things short at the moment, I feel that the race obstacles are much fun compared to the situation last year. There are mors obstacles throughout the race and every route has its own purpose. The best part for the day was the kayaking, which it seems that our team has been moving quite fast as we paddle around the area and back to the shore. The toughest part was the eating of wasabi bread, which makes me feel sick at the moment once I think of the taste of the food. Seriously, I guess I will be skipping breakfast for the next few days, especially bread. =X

Well, we made it! 5th position and I dont know if there could be any alumni teams taking part for next year. Once again, a huge success for our team, as well as the organizing committee for this event. Thank you very much.

Shall sleep now. Tomorrow there's a big concert to handle... at Esplanade... COOL!!

Our 1st Anniversary....

Most people said that anniversaries are sweet to be remembered. From what I have seen in the television, some would visit to the best restuarants to have a wonderful meal with each other. Others will look for the best place of attractions to visit and some, prepare some gifts that are unique to the opposite partner. From these few terms mentioned, I guess, I did not make any of the terms come true. =X

Talking about anniversaries, it was our first anniversary between Auntie Emily and me. Let me start the ball rolling with some background history for this date to be chosen. First of all, only some of my friends and buddies know that we went steady together unknowing when we started. Yes, we begin this relationship with no date involved. It was just a time process before we fall for each other, with no one propose to each other for steady. (except once by me but was a failure. =X )

Then, you may wonder why would we have chosen this date? Actually, it was to make things easier for us to know when we have our first anniversary. Compared to others who have specific dates, by then it was nearly Febuary and we have no idea which would be the best date to choose. Hence, not to confuse each other, 1st January was the right date then. The entire theory sounded stupid but yet cool as it is strange to choose such a date, under our circumstances of being steady with each other.

Well, back to what was happening on that fateful day, there was a short arguement during the wee hours while we were chatting on the phone, after we had went home from the New Year Countdown. It seemed that the arguements could not be ended and so, nothing was planned and no one had the mood to go out.

Luckily, when it was rise and shine, I managed to convince her to meet up and have a sight-seeing at Jurong Point, which has an extension taken place, with new outlets opened to the public. We met up during the afternoon and begin to visit the shops, as well as having our lunch cum dinner at this chinese restuarant, which has a splendid chicken dish that can make you feel satisfied after you finish. Once it is done, we went back to our homes for rest. That was something simple for the day.

I dare to admit that she will need to wait for some time before I can pass her a anniversary gift. However, one thing is for sure that I wish to tell her, thank you for being with me for the past one year for the love and care you shown to me. I do enjoy the times that we have shared and I wish to tell you that you are now part of my life. Happy anniversary to the both of us.

Well, shall we move on to year 2009, with me giving more updates on my blog?! Gosh!! I have plenty to update actually, with some of the planned posts being saved among the few hundred entries I have.

Happy New Year everyone!!

Auntie Em and Uncle Nic

Happy 1st Anniversary, Dear =]
