School's Starting... At Last!!
School’s starting tomorrow and I’m not mentally prepared for it! Well, I guess I am loaded with activities during my holidays that I ended up complaining here and there. Serve me right for being occupied with these activities.
Alright, just to make a few updates about the past few days. Friday was Canberra Secondary’s CCA Orientation. I was there to help the Band but was late eventually due to some CCA activities and also, lunch with Auntie Emily, in Poly. Well, back to Canberra, the Band only managed to get about 20 people to participate in the CCA. This is sad news for me as it shows that youths these days are not interested in the Arts anymore. Maybe they are Secondary 1s’ and their mentality for music are not ready. I don’t know.
Though CSSB has been my 2nd home all these while, since young till now, I cannot do much to help them but to show my moral support in whatever the members do. Well, to all the band members who are helping out in the CCA Orientation that day, well done for getting the new Secondary 1s to participate Band. However, your hard work is not over yet. Make sure you guys ensure that they will continue to stay in Band. The responsibility is past to all of you, so show me, prove it to me that you can make them stay for Band. “One Band, One Sound, One Spirit”, that’s the way I want CSSB to be, always…
Saturday was BAKING for the entire afternoon. I met Auntie Emily at Sembawang to get all the necessary ingredients for brownie and cheesecake before heading to my house for baking session. Lots of things happened in my house while baking… Incidents such as I, touching the bowl when I forgot that it was hot… My sister forgets to add sugar in the cheesecake mixture… Auntie Emily opening the yoghurt, which she ended up having some dips of yoghurt on her… LOL!!
In the end, we managed to make 2 brownies and a cheesecake. I don’t know whether Auntie Emily did eat ½ of the brownie last night but let’s just hope she didn’t do that. Haha… Well, Auntie Emily, nice haircut!! You look nice with that new haircut of yours.
Swimming was after that and my sister and I were late. Well, it doesn’t stop the aches that we got later. Butterfly stroke and Backstroke were the ones that caused the aching but it was alright. The feeling was very good after a ½ hour’s workout. The muscles were feeling tense even after I reached home to rest. The most saddening thing that day was that my freestyle for a lap, to and fro, takes 1minute 33 seconds. Gosh!! That is too slow, I was trying to hit a 1½ minutes but I failed to do so. I guess more training can be done to improve my stamina and strength for swimming. I got to have a “Never say die” attitude!!! =]
Alright, typing in the bus right now is not a good thing. Let’s hope tomorrow is a new and good beginning of school for me. Study!!! =P
