Sports Fest... Time to Rumble...
Ar!! Tired... so tired... I really need to recharge my battery to make sure that I can train my soccer tomorrow.. haha... The Sports Fest, held at te CCAB (think so...) was fantastic.. Just look at the sight of different classes competing to get the top spot of the competition. Just look the enthusiasm those students have... Haha... you definitely get to know how they feel, mentally as well as physically. Alot of funny things happen in a single day... Sme good, some bad... Well, let me summarised what happened during the Sports Fest...
Early the morning, as usual, my Sis and I went to the place through car. Alright... We reached there, I helped the teachers while she joine dher classmates.. No choice, I'm the senior of Canberra, can be known as the 'Lao Jiao' (Old Bird)... hehe... Anyway, while I helped the teachers, bad weather began to spoil the whole show... Rain start pouring and everyone had to flee to the hall. Haha.. Anyway, I was being put as the Empire for Frisbee. Strange... I'm a NOOB in Frisbee and they put me as the Empire for the match... What the... LUckily, I got another senior to tell me the rules and regulations... Haix... poor me, I got to know what is right and hwat is wrong... I was handling the Sec 3 Boys... also known as the most competitive level in the school. When I mean it... it really is...
The first match started and things started to get too rough. I just start the first match and it ended up people starting a fight. What a Empire I'm... haha... Anyway, I just tried to cool them down. No matter what happens, it's all fair play, fair and square. Since you cant win it, lose it. There's no point fighting your opponents after the match. Punch and kicks... Legs and fists... Come on guys... Thinsg arent gonna start like that or end up like that... Chill... Relax... Shake a hand or two and try to say praises to the other teams.. Know yourself before concluding others... Hehe.. Maybe I'm talking too much crap here... Haha... Anyway, just let me continue...
The first match... Rough...Violent.. Nearly start a fight... Alright, that settled... The next match... quite better... Luckily I said no fights allowed... or else there would be a round 2... haha.. Then, the third match was getting better.. I see more team spirit among the classes. They would signal each other before passing the firsbee to the other end. It's much better than the previous 2 matches. Seriously, if I end up wounded during the fight... Gosh... I will be in the hospital typing these things now... Haha... alright, cut the crap.. Continue...
In the end, I think is 3E3 won the match. All I know was that it's Tom's class who won the Frisbee competition. Alright, that was not the end, there was still the 'second shift'. The Sec 1s and 2s. Wow!!! This is getting more and more. Actually, I wasnt feeling too good by then. I have a sore throat after shouting for more than 2 hours at the competition among the Sec 3s. I keep shouting 'Start!' without the whistle. I dont have the whistle, that's the prob... Furthermore, VJ assisted me in the time-keeping... Thansk to you, VJ, you help me keep track of time... haha.. Furthermore, with fairus helping me as the second empire... I think the match went well... Good refereeing and judgement... Although there were some cases that made us having headaches... You help me to get ease a little and find some air to breathe... haha...
The match was quite.. quite... well, erm... or I should say... SUPER TERRIBLE... haha... The Sec 1s do not know the rules about frisbee. That's not the worst part. The worst part was that they do not know how to play... That will be the most difficult job for me. I tend to forget some rules and I dont like to explain to people. I have this difficulty in giving proper instructions. That is why each time I mentor the Sec 4Ns, you can just look at my face... Giggling none stop, keep saying "Sorry... I gave the wrong info..." Dotz... What the... Mr Aw Yong wanted me to give the kids on how to play firsbee... That's gonna kill me... haha... Making me nuts as each second pass by...
1N2's appearance in the game makes me have a bad feeling. Ms Lee was the form teacher of that class and as a former student of her's, one would understand the hardship and suffering would faced if you dont go her way. The result; DIE!! That's the word that everyone in the class fear... Terminated from her campaign, exiled from the class forever... That's the worst thing than death. Well, 1N2 did work well in the first match but not the second and last match. The first match... it's a good thing they won the match. Their opponents dont know much about frisbee that's why... Haha... However, they lost the second match through bad luck... Luck wasnt on their side as they lost 1-0. What a rotten luck. The last match; a well hard fought match that ended up 0-0 at full-time. However, they lost 1-0 during the golden goal opportunity. What a luck they had. Sorry Ms Lee, although you showed me thedeath signal, with your finger moved across you neck... Well, I think I wont go for your mentoring class for the next few weeks to prevent myself from getting the punishment that you're ready to give me... hehe... Anyway, treat this the chance to help you cool down after the Sports fest. Chill Ms Lee, chill...
Looking at how 1N2 played, it reminds me of how my class played last year. The fight spirit within us never disappeared at all, even if we were going through the hardest battles, facing the strongest enemies. Fear is not in our mind by then. Winning was what we want and everyone in the team would try their best to win it. This was how 1N2 played. They made sure that they would expose their opponents weakness and attacked them againa nd again. However, they keep missing the chances. Seriously, being the Empire of that group is not a good feeling at all. It's terrible so Ms Lee, I hope you understand what I mean.. Most of all, please... please... dont be so petty about not winning. I know you wanted your class to win everything but that's beyond imagination... Anyway, you did gave your class the will power and the life skills of being a team. You did well for that so stop the nagging alright??!! Hehe...
Thats not the end of the whole thing. If you people had watch the Nike Football advertisement, you get to understand more about fair play, cheaters and many more. These are life skill lessons that one should have. In this world, fairness is the most important thing. some classes do not have the ability to make sure that they were playing friendly as well as playing properly. The upper level played rough but some classes had their unhappiness showed out to their opponents, starting a confrontation... While for the lower level, they showed the way of unfairness by doing things that are not suppose to do, making one feel that they were cheaters. Throwing the frisbee to another side is one thing... Doing it once or twice is understandable but if you do it frequently, people would think hat it's not so fun at all. A victory would end up with nothing for the team with taht kind of play. What's important is teamwork and the quality possess by each person. That's how the game should be. I undertstand winning is the basic factor in competitions but bear in mind, being cheated is not a good feeling at all... Haix...
As the competiton ended, I realised that the seniors not only got the thanks from the teachers, thanking us for joining them to make this Sports fest successful. Furthermore, it gave us the experience of helping out. However, I still gain something. I 'earned' it. The thing that i gained was none other than sorethroat. Yeah... sorethroat. Without using the whistle, I had shouted for the whole morning.. From 8 plus till 12 plus... A tired experience for sure. Right now, I'm having flu and sorethroat. Thanks for being under the rain, I was totally drenched and thats what i got in the end... What a day.
After the whole event, I went to find Eugene and gang. Instead of taking the bus, I decide to walk to Newton Circle Hawker Centre... a long journey which took me 20 to 30 minutes... By then, when I reached my destination, my legs were getting weaker and weaker. All I want is a nice sofa for me to sit on and take a good nap. However, I was also hungry during that process, that makes me feel that food is the first piority before I sleep. After taking my lunch, the rest went to Orchard to buy their things... I tagged along as I have nothing to do at home. While shopping around, as usual, my legs could not take it. When I saw a seat, I would sit on it even if it gave me a minute or two of rest. My legs were having blisters after the walking and running. After that, they went to meet Chris, Jacq and Ivy... Dennis and her boy were at there too... Haha... Looks like a gang is really a gang and I mean a big one... hehe... Overall, there's 11 of us... Haha... Not bad huh??!! A soccer team... hehe...
After all the shopping, we went to the arcade near Plaza Singapura... They played street basketball for a long time. The highest score was 360 plsu points... Haha... Everyone tried to shoot and I ended up being scolded by the owner for having itchy hands... Haha.. Who cares about him... We continued to play... Jimmy played soccer, as usual... haha... While Chris and I played Para Para Paradise... I did quite alright for that as I have not played it since last year. Seriously, I remembered that I played it last year during Chinese New Year. After a game or two, I kinda get the steps correct... hehe... Chris danced the tune, 'Remember Me', which was danced by the group of friends of ours during last year's New Year... Sweet memories of ours... Haha... I kinda miss that dance.. hehe... However, my dance was funny. Not horrible, not catchy but funny... I nearly fo a kungfu dance in the end. It was known as... 'No Cake'... haha... maybe I should try a harder level next time.
We went back home at 8 plus and I reached home about 9 plus... tired... Exhausted... Haha... but it was really fun... Till now, it's still fresh in my mind... Got to take my nap now... Training starts tomorrow... I mean swimming training... By the way, the soccer match that Jack has would be held on 29 April... People, get ready on that day... its a clash between the gladiators... hehe... Canberrians against the Hougang dudes... haha..
