I'm back from the camp! Finally!! although I'm tired now and I have not even start to take my nap, I'm still trying to struggle with this entry first before I sleep. My brain keeps malfunctioning for the past few weeks and I fear that I would forget the details of the camp, which is to be shared with every one who visits my blog.

DAY 1
I woke up at 7 .30am to give Ming Zhao a morning call. In the end, he's still late. I realised that both of us have bad communication skills. The day before, I asked him to give me a call once he reached Woodlands MRT station since I'm waiting him at the 2nd storey. However, he waited for me outside the MRT station. This time during Day 1, I told him to give me a call once he's ready but it was me who gave him the call and realised he's waiting for me downstairs. LOL!! My bad!! A lack of communication knowledge ends up with these kind of situations.

Anyway, back to the camp. We were late again and we started to join the rest to play some games which allows us to relax our minds for a moment. The game was fun but the forfiet was... erm... I dont know what to say but I was asked to dance in front of everyone on the stage. Yeah!! 'Stripe' dance... Haha... It's a bit funny yet interesting. I dont dance like Ming Zhao or like Xu Chun Mei (A Taiwan star that you'll 'fall' for her 'charm' straight away... *_*") After the forfiet and games, it was lunch and training started straight away.

After lunch, we begin to practise the steps of the dance for 'Masquarde'. Although I'm not that good at the moves, it was still quite funny. Derik showed us the first move, which was a bit erotic but after knowing that he's having a back ache, nothing happens after that. Haha... After learning all the moves, you can se everyone showing their blur faces as there were too many steps to remember. I was also blur by then and I need Ming Zhao's help since he's a good dancer. Right now I'm wondering what happens if he scored a goal... will he dance or just do the normal actions like a normal soccer player... Never mind... It would be better that he dance... Haha... New entertainment for everyone to see. We trained till 6pm and we had our dinner before Mr Ong's workshop.

This week's workshop was super boring as I couldnt what Mr Ong was mentioning about. I was slowly, sub-conciously, falling into Ben's trap; The 'LA-LA' paradise...In the end, I slept and thanks to Jasmine, she took my picture and put it as my wallpaper in my phone. I dont mind. its nice anyway... haha... We continued to sing till its 10pm and we started to get ready for the movie 'Phantom of the Opera'. This is to allow us to understand what's the show's about and how the actor and actress react while saying their lines. That's part of the preparation of the performacce that we're putting on during our concert in November. When the show ends, you can see that many of the VE members have went back to their bunks to take their nap. By then, only less than 10 of us were in the room watching it. Haha... Once eevryone went back to sleep, Ming Zhao and I started to play Winning Eleven 9 till 2 plus. Haha... Though I lost all the time, I still feel that I can win it. Haha... Maybe I'm not used to the controller that I had borrowed from Vincent. Thanks Vincent for the controller. Without it, it will be the most boring free time I ever had... hehe...


DAY 2

Woke up around 7.30am yet my eyes were still close. After washing up, we had our breakfast and training resumes at 9am sharp. Warm-ups... singing... drilling piece by piece... making sure no wrong mistakes were made... That's what Derik has been doing from 9 to 1pm. As the student conductor, he was trying his best to help each section to make progres on their pieces. It is still the best that we remember the scores by hard but still... The reason for that is because the Muslims are having their fasting period and they do not have much time to attend the camp. Another reason was people keep getting sick all the time. This is caused by the haze that we're facing right now. Each time you look out your window, you can see the buildings nearby to be foggy... which is stated by the Government that its the worst haze ever in Singapore currently. We had our lunch after the practice and we're back into games. First game; Chain game. Each and everyone of us must hold each other's hands and create a circle after we got entangled up.

Next game; Dog and Bone. People should know the rules very well. Haha... The image of Joyce trying to snatch the 'bone' from me still plays vividly in my mind. Think about it makes me laugh continiously. I tried to take the 'bone' but joyce was next to me. I started to act like a retard, trying to snatch the 'bone' but I didnt touch it at all.Joyce was hitting my shoulder all the time, thinking that I will take it. Alright,s he's been fooled but still, it was a nice game. We're adding humour in the games session. Soon, Derik participated and there goes the 'War' between the Indians, Chinese and Malays. He's not acting like a racist since his intentions are very pure and he wont create any disharmony between the differemt races... Alright, I stop my crap first... Puding's team need to do the 'Chicken Dance'. The most fanniest part was that Da Jie wanted to take the video of their dance but turn out taking pictures of Puding, creating her own movements of taking a pose. -.-"

Phantom of the Opera practises begins and we need to learn what's going on in the story. Yi Tian acted as Christine while Derik act as Raoul and Zhi Wei as the Phantom. There were other people acting too such as Ben, Kah Hong, Jasmine, Yvonner, Amilia and many more. Anyway, Zhi Wei acted like the Phantom has come to the wrong opera house. Instead of showing his anger to Christine for falling for Raoul, he was saying in a light-hearted manner, sounding as if he's tired of seeing Christine. This makes the whole VE members to laugh out loud. Nice act by the Phantom, and he was named as 'Fan Tong', also known as a person who eats lots of rice. The chinese should know what it really means... LOL... Hum... Maybe Derik should have named the show as 'Fan Tong of the Opera'... Haha...

We continued out training till 10 after the rest had their nice dinner. This time round, dinner was great. Chicken rice. Even though it looks oily, it doesnt even matters to me since I'm too hungry to think of its taste. However, I ate it after 10pm. I was not hungry so I went to take a nap while the rest were eating. Once 10pm strike, everyone went to the Amphitheatre to enjoy ourselves while Kh Hong, Ming Zhao and I went there to eat. It was 'Gals vs Guys' as the gals sat at one corner while the guys sat at the opposite corner. Competition started when they started singing. we guys cant take the hype that the gals were having. They were singing lots of songs and what's worst?!! Their pitch was so high that Derik had a hard time singing their songs. Haha... Maybe we can use the Universal remote in the movie, 'Click' and reduce the pitch of the gals voices in order to blend with our voices... Haha... Now thats better.

While the rest went back and have their shower, Ming Zhao and I started to play soccer. Alright, it sounds so 'gay' since I'm injuried. We played 5 goals and in the end, I won 5-4 but that was lucky. I was too tired to run and my leg was hurting after I made a wrong move. I tried to push the ball to my right with my left foot but I landed on the wrong part of my foot, ending with another setback... Ouch!! The rest of the VE members were asking why I was playing even though my leg was injuried. Well, I dont know... hehe... However, I wanted to recover as soon as possible. That's why, I'm having light training for myself... LOL!! After that, I took my shower and back to playing Winning Eleven again... haha...

DAY 3

Its time to wake up and after breakfast, we started to sing again. This time, you can see that everyone has been falling sick. Some lost their voice. It's probably because they sang oo hard at the Amphitheatre last night. That morning, some gals and all the boys are having 'Pi pa Gao' to make our throat feel better. Haha... Cai Yun was wondering why the boys keep coming out their bunk and carrying a spoon with them. Erm... The boys need to practise how to hold a spoon for lunch later?? Maybe... Lol!! being sarcastic here... hehe...

Lunch came and we gathered to have our meals together. I was not feeling that good due to something happened and I was trying to chill myself down with my MP3. We continued to sing and sing, till 4 plus when Derik decided to show us last year's concert. While watching the video, you realised that Derik was so cool!! He gel up his hair, wear a cool attire... Haha... The best part was when he got a Sunflower from someone and his expression after he recieved the flower. Those who missed it, well, you can get the clip Derik but it depends on him, whether to show it to you or not. After that, we watched the past photos of last year's concert, as well as the last camp we had. Videos were being played and when I saw my video... Er... I was laughing, choking (I'm eating...) and tears coming out of my eyes... Why? I laugh till the tears come out, probably I had laugh too much. I cant believe it that I could be so gay at times, in the sense as happy... Dont get the wrong idea!!!

After the clips, we went for training with Mr Ong till 10pm. Games began at 10.30pm and we had to dress people up as Mer-man. Actually I was the one to be dressed but Ming Zhao said we should do a fair judgement of choosing one of the boys It end up him being the Mer-man of the the day. Haha... It was Derik vs. Ming Zhao; Battle of the Mer-mans... Haha... Derik was having full of light sticks around him while Ming Zhao... er... light sticks that are placed at the wrong parts of a human body... NO!! It's Mer-man's body. The best part was when kah Hong trying to help Ming Zhao to get rid of the newspapers that were stick in his shirt. kah Hong did a nice job to get rid of it... His actions... Wow... I'm really speechless here... Man!!!

Games ended around 12 and everyone took their shower and took their rest. Ming Zhao and I played Winning Eleven for the last time and I slept at 3am. The rest, such as Jasmine, Puding, Evonne, Aimilia, Derik, Kah Hong, Ming Zhao and Paul were playing games in the boys bunk. I dont know what happen but things got kinda weird... I think they had forfiets such as pulling my leg hair while I'm asleep... What the... I was saying 'Ouch!' but its too soft... Anyway, I was too tired to do anything... Haha... I slept on the chair... and it was hard for me to find a comfortable posture to have a nice nap. The rest played till 5 plus... Wow... They were super energetic...

DAY 4

I woke up about 7 plus and saw my sleeping bag and I slept on it. Moments later, Derik woke me up but I was too tired to do anything, so I went back to sleep. I got up my tired feet and dragged myself to the toilet to wash up. We packed our stuff and brought it to the VE room straight after breakfast. My voice was not in a good condition for singing as I cant hit the high notes. Yeah!! Sorethroat... that's what I'm having. Haha... We sang till 1 plus and we had our lunch together. Haha... After that, we were debrief and it was the end of the camp. The boys begin their humming by getting their drinks and shout cheers. Haha... The best humming voices I should say is the guys... We had 'PROFESSIONAL' training on the first night, by humming in the toilet... Haha.. all started with Ben with his humming and the whole toilet echoed our voices... Haha...

Ming Zhao and I went back and to Woodlands by train and guess what Ming Zhao told me once he stepped out of the train. 'Hey!! Nic!! Did you smell it, its the smell of Pasar Malam...' I was like -.-" because I dont think so Pasar Malam produce smell to attract the crowd, its the food... LOL!! Never mind... That's not the last. We took the bus back home and we wanted to take 962. We chase the bus as it approached and we board it. However, I was shocked when the bus was moving the wrong direction. We realised that we board the bus at the right place, at the wrong time. The bus 962 was behind us. We had took 911 instead of 962!!! WHAT THE!!! Never mind... We took the bus and explore the Woodlands area since we were all tired by then with the bags we were carrying. Once we're back to Woodlands Interchange, we took 962 again... This time... its the right bus... LOL!!! What a mess we had. actually we wanted to go back home early to rest but we screw it up... Haha... Told you... Miscommunication...

I reached home and relax myself with my computer... Once it reached 7 plus, I went to Sembawang to celebrate the lantern festival. Haha... Well, I was a busy man that night, or should I say, I was the 'DHL' man of the night. I took Jon's bicycle and ride to other parts of Sembawang. First, to meet Kelvin and pass him the candles. Next, to meet Wan Xian and the rest... Then, meet my god-sis to get MP3 for Jack... Later, I went to the coffeeshop to get my food. Travelling around with a bike is not a back idea too. Its been a long time since I cycle... haha... We stayed at there and chatted till it was like 12am. Wow... I havent took a nap yet... My eyes were small and I'm getting tired by then. Before we left, the rest started to create their amazing explosion. First try, with 2 lighters on the fire... The lighter exploded but the flames just got higher. Then, Bo Shen went to add the last lighter that we had. This time, Kian Wee was the lucky one. The thing explode and flames flew past Kian Wee... Haha... That was lucky...

Wow... Think about my last day of Camp and the activities that I have done after the camp... I think I was getting high by that time... The rest of the VE members should be sleeping while I'm enjoying... LOL!!! So long for now.. Any videos or what, I will post up here... hehe...
