Escapades of the World is finally over! I can relax right now. Haha... From the past 3 months till now, we have show others that how good, or probably how well we can perform. Most of all, we managed to pull this concert through. Although it might not be as good as a world class Voice Essemble, we still think that we have tried our very best to perform this show. Haha...

Let's start from this morning. Hmm... We started to practise at 1pm and it was an intensive session as we got to finalise all of our actions during the music piece of 'Masquarade'. New coordination and we need to follow no matter what, since its less than 12 hours to concert. After 2 plus, we decided to do a full rehersal on the event. Mistakes were made but yet, mistakes are the start of doing the right things at the right time. First half, it was still managable. We were much well-prepared for that. While for the Second half, we were more worried about the actions and the time of cutting into the scene and sing out loud. With the help from Mr. Chen for the acting and Mr. Ong for the singing, it seems that we have to move on even if there's mistakes being made.

Time was running out and by the time changes were made and the full rehersal was done, it was 6pm. An hour and half to the start of the concert. The rest had their dinner while some of the gals went to have their make-up. Yet, Ming Zhao and I were hungry. We tried to share the packet of chicken rice, with him eating most of the chicken while I ate most of the rice. I always have this bad habit of eating chicken rice and just only eating the rice. That is why I always had chicken rice with my sister during the past, which she eats the chicken while I ate the rice. $2 for a packet??!! Hmm... That's worth it after all. Haha... After the meal, we went straight to the dressing room to get dress up. All the guys were wearing their blazers and all of them look very smart. Haha...

7.30pm approaches and the concert begins. Before we enter the stage, everyone were wishing each other good luck, probably trying to calm themselves down and make sure they do a good job on the whole concert. Once we entered the stage, it was no more quitting and no more mistakes. No cuts or stops during the process. We sang all the 9 songs but after singing the first song, I was perspiring all over. Cold sweat!!! That's right. I was too nervous although I look more excited than nervous. Weird isnt it??!!! By the time we left with 2 songs, my palms were wet. The file that I was holding on seems to slip at any point of time. Luckily, it ended just in time and we have a 15 minutes interval, to relax and chill for a moment. Everyone rushed back to change their costumes (those who are acting) while the rest get ready with their masks on.

Phantom of the Opera starts and we started to sing 'Masquarade', with all the actions and blah and blah and blah... I forgot to do my pose, which I dont think I need it since I was so confused with my words, with the acitons add in it, it seems that I would be more confused than before. After the song, we went back to the stand, which we need to tolerate for 50 minutes without moving at all. I was having aches on my both feet and my kneecap. Luckily, I was able to manage it. Ming Zhao and Cai Yun were next to me and it seems that Cai Yun was having a hard time. Its probably because of thepain but also, the coldness. She was feeling cold but I couldnt feel it. The blazer was thick enough to make me feel like a polar bear in Saudi Arabia, standing in a room, with no fans, windows or any vendilations. Hot is the thing that I'm facing whereas cold is what she's facing. Same world, different temperatures... COOL!!

The best scene for the Phantom of the Opera was when the Phantom (Zhi Wei), singing to Christine (Yi Tian) to pass her the ring. The music was 'Music of the Night'. It was touching to see someone to be as romantic as the Phantom to his favourite gal. Another scene that I love is when Christine at the graveyard. Although the scene was not that nice, once you close your eyes, you can feel the emotions of the song. Each time I listen to this song, and I close my eyes, I could feel the tears at the brim of my eyes. However, some of the V.E. members felt the emotions while the Phantom felt sad when Christine follows Raoul and not him. It's really sad to see your love ones leaving you. All I can say is the acting is good and the music is great. All the 'G's are coming out. Haha...

Once the concert ends, its time for 'Seasons of Love'. Kah Hong and I were singing the male solo lines. Cool!! I didnt know that it was quite fun. Although I previously reject the offer but I was force to take the line, I didnt regret it at all. I know that Derik wants me to treat it as a challenge. Haha... I like it anyway... Fun... After the singing, we were cheering and yelling but something bad happen, which I would mention later. After the musical, we took pictures for around... 1/2 hour??? OMG!! I just know that it was a long phot-taking session by us. By the time we pack our stuff, it was 10pm. That was 'early'... When I went for the reception at our CCA room, it was 10 plus. Alot of us have left for home, such as Cai Yun. Haha... Too bad it isnt Friday or they could rest that night. Everyone were tired, including me. Haha...

During the reception, Ming Zhao and I were like eating 4 plates of noodles or other stuff... Cherrie was yanking at Ming Zhao for being a greedy pig. LOL!! I think its me who taught Ming Zhao the art of eating. Eating is an exercise for us from now on?? Maybe... However, I think it was really crazy to eat 5 plates of noodles. I ate 4 plates and another plate of bun. It was nice and I was trying to keep myself full. By the way, about the incident that happened in the hall, I think some of the guys should know what happen. It happened like this...

Once the concert ends, we were cheering and clapping. Suddenly, Ming Zhao pinched me and I was in a state of shock and happiness that I shouted the wrong thing. Yeah!! I mean it! I shout the wrong thing at the wrong time. I shouted 'C.B. lah...' with the microphones still on. Gosh!!! I'm in deep trouble if the video taken by others could have the word heard at the tape at its end. OMG!! The rest of the guys were looking at me, stunned... All I can say is... sorry... Haha... Indeed, it was a concert, with happy, bad and embarassing memories in one day. Haha...

Once again, before I end my post, I would like to say a few things. Thanks for Mr. Ong and Mr. Chen for helping out. Without you two, I dont think that the whole concert would work. Furthermore, your guidance have make us feel that we could do better music pieces in the future. Next, Derik and the other seniors who helped out in the concert. As your junior, it was a good thing that we have this event to gain experience and it help me to face my challenge of having stage frights for the past 1 hour or so??!!! Wow!!! Next, it would be the Tenor section. Without the people in this section, I would be nothing. Haha... I think I would be singing Bass by then. LOL!! Last but not least, the rest of the V.E. members in the concert. You all did a great job today. Glad that mistakes are minor. I did make mistakes too but still, we pull through... together... Haha.. Rest well everyone...

By the way, before I end, Cai Yun, if you did see this post, I would be glad to tell you that you did a great job. Haha... Well, I didnt do much to motivate you to come to V.E.. It's just that you have the power to perserve. That is why you have make it this far today. Smile more and definitely will miss you for the 2 weeks. Haha... Also, you're not fat at all. It's just that you're chubby. Didnt I told you that you still look cute as ever... Hehe... If you didnt, well, you're really cute... So dont worry about your weight... Eat healthy and stay healthy... hehe....

Stopping here now... Napping time... in Canberra Secondary... Cant believe it that this time I would be climbing into the school instead of walking from the main gate. What the...
