When I'm Out Of Control... [Part 2]
Well, I am back! Again, I’m really so sorry that I didn’t have enough time to post the entry about what had happened during the past few days. Well, I guess I shall continue from what I had left a few days ago. So, here I go…
Let me start off from last Saturday!! Hmm… I was working at Yishun Swimming Complex for the afternoon shift and its been some time since I went back for WORK! Yes!! Work!! I have been busy with my attachments that I did not have time to earn my money. At least it makes me feel good to be back in this business. =] Well, it is as boring as usual but I restricted myself from blowing the whistle too often. First of all, it makes my life boring to caution people all the time. Secondly, it makes the people’s lives boring for listening to my warning. Hence, I just blow if its necessary to do so!! No harm at all right??!! LOL!!
Well, as night falls, I realized that I need to do a monthly test for my CPR. This is said to be compulsory routine that all lifeguards must do. I did not mind about that but I was nervous yet excited for the test. It’s fun to ‘kill’ a harmless dummy with your CPR antics. I mean, the dummy won’t get up suddenly and shout at you for pressing too hard at its chest area. Haha!! Before I could do the test, I received an SMS from Auntie Emily and was shocked that she was outside the complex. She bought something for me after her work and I was like thinking... “Wow… Didn’t know that she would come, what a surprise…” =] Anyway, thanks for the gingerbread man. I didn’t manage to eat it as its really artistic. Well, I will get to eat it soon I guess.
Back to the CPR thingy, I managed to score 100% for both compression and ventilations in the first trial. Its just that I added another 5 compressions, due to a miscalculation while I’m pressing. Well, the second test was also good, 100% ventilations and 99% for compressions. Haix… I got 1 mistake, for pressing accidentally on the abdomen area. Well, at least I did improve my timing for that. Well, I also got an extra bonus for doing the compressing; hurting my wrist at the process. It was just a minor injury and it recovered in 2 days so its alright. Even Bakash (colleague of mine) felt the pain on his wrist. Haha… Life of a lifeguard is so interesting!! =]
Once work was over, I head down to Sembawang for SOCCER!! I just want to kick the stupid ball as I didn’t do it for 1 week??!! Yeah… I am so tempted to do so. The 1st match was qyute an upset as I didn’t help the team to score. I did a few mistakes in the process, guess it resulted to the conceding of goals. Well, never mind about that, the next game was one hell of a game!! It was Kian Wee, Eugene, Jimmy and I against Jack, Nan, Szaywan and Din. The score was 13-3 at the end of the game. I managed to score 2 goals but both are quite lucky goals. The first was a fake shot but when I whacked the ball, it went through Szaywan’s legs and went into the goal post, with Din didn’t notice it. The second was also a tap-in but that’s because I was lucky to find the net that’s all.
All I did most of the time was assist, assist and assist. It was a nice run, and a great vision pass from me but the strike that end the game is more impprtant than anything. We have our ‘Gerrard” (Eugene) and “Fabregas” (Jimmy), the goals just keep coming, more and more. Well, the price I had paid for the game??!! Blisters. It hurts but that’s what I have to do to win the match. Never say die and never give up, that’s what a challenge is to me!! Hehe…
Alright, that’s for Saturday, now for Sunday. It was Liverpool vs Man Utd and who won?!! MAN UTD! Haha… I guess Shuai Xun, Ming Zhao, Leandra and other Man Utd fans will be happy with the result. Liverpool did played well that night but they were using the wrong techniques and people. They should deploy Crouch right from the start before having all the crosses all over the field. While I was watching the match, I was having a fierce chat with Emily. Haha… She’s a Liverpool fan, wishing Man Utd lose but reality it isn’t. Haha… We were like talking about which player fouls and who’s not fair… Blah blah blah… That’s an interesting chat. Haha…
Well, once the match ended, next up was Arsenal vs Chelsea. I didn’t watch the match fully as I was concentrating on my report. That is the reason why I didn’t get enough sleep for the past few days. Well, around 2 plus, I was too tired to continue that I went to play ‘Indian Poker’ before continuing my work. By 4am, I was too shagged to continue. I had a short nap and woke up at 6am, surprised to see Auntie Emily’s SMS. Haha…
I went back to NYP and continued my reports all the way till 3 plus before printing out and submit it. I was feeling exhausted by then and we had to continue the V.E. Committee interview after that, which I think I was trying to control myself from falling asleep. ZZzz… My nap came at 6 plus when I was in the room sleeping. It was noisy later on but its alright… =] Anyway, thanks Auntie Emily for the Ice Lemon Tea. However, I think you should eat something first since you feel unwell later during the practice. Hmmm… Take care of your health!! Hehe…
Well, the day ended with me having only 7 hours of sleep before the V.E. performance at the 2 venues that we had to go. I enjoyed it but some was feeling a bit sad about the place. Well, I don’t know if they felt very emotional or not but one thing is for sure, the elderly needs our help, so HELP THEM. I mean, just make an effort to talk to them if you have one at home.
I missed mine whenever I see an elderly at AWWA, or any old folks home. The fun that I had with my granny… Yeah.. That’s the past. Haha… If I could see my granny again… I will just say the same sentence to her, which I only know each time I sees her. “Ah Po, Lei Sek Bao Mei?” (Granny, have you eaten?) =D
