My Resolutions....
As the journey for 2007 ends, people tend to set their targets and goals that they wish to achieve for the next year. Resolution!! That’s what I’m talking about, not verbally but through the typing. It is easy to set your own resolutions for the New Year but how about doing it and achieving it? It takes one’s perseverance to ensure that such promises will be made, whether its mentally, physically or physiologically.
While for me, attaining goals have been a big problem during the past. I still remembered lividly that my Secondary school teacher would ask us to write out our list of resolutions for the New Year and everyone will start writing this sentence; “I will make sure that I score well for my exams this year…” Wow!! What happens if we wrote other stuff like, completing my computer games that I had bought last week? I guess my teacher will kill us after seeing that. In fact, the whole crap over here means that during my Secondary school days, there is no such thing as a real resolution done by me. I tried to follow but due to the consequences that I would get if I decide to forgo the goals that I have “set it myself”. Come to think about it again, without Ms. Lee’s (Form Teacher) scolding, I don’t think I can get such results for my ‘N’ and ‘O’ levels, coming to this stage of being one of the students of Sport and Wellness Management. Anyway Ms. Lee, thanks for the terror and torture that you gave me for the past few years. Do hate it yet it hurts!! LOL!!
Since this is going to be my first time creating my own resolutions, I guess I will need to think of something realistic, to ensure that I can attain them within the 360 days that is left for now. 360 days seems to be a long journey but compared to last year, 365 days was like a few months. The Chinese always say “时间是宝贵的!” while I believe in my own philosophy, which is “时间是拿来浪费的!” Even as I matured over the years, I think that no matter how precious or boring time is to us, if we can do things that are to be done within that period of time, which is an achievement that we had made in life. Fighting against time is always a challenge to me and to be the best, you got to beat the time.
Here I go, with all my resolutions for the New Year.
To be punctual at all times (Probably this is the worst thing that I have done in my life. Punctuality is always unavailable in my mind and I have to learn it, through torture or fun. The only thing I can be excused for being late is according to my own priorities. By doing so, I get to understand the importance of being on time, as well as enjoying life to the fullest through fun and hard work. Hope so…)Scoring goals wherever I go
(Soccer is part of my life and it won’t be easy to say quit. Since playing soccer in my secondary school, I did learn a lot and change in many ways, whether it’s the play or the bond that I have with the team. Scoring goals is one sensation that no one can describe and for me, a target of 50 goals will be enough for this year, no matter where I go and play with. This is not part of the ‘Goal Tally’ that my gang’s having but its just part of my own records. Like Shuai Xun has did, some things must be achieved by yourself, then you will feel the achievements that you have made.)
Understanding FASHION
(It will be one of the difficult tasks for me to handle. Fashion is not my favourite thing I look upon in the past but as one matures, their mentality deepens and developed. I’m losing out to fashion, one way or another. In the past, I don’t seem to care about my looks and my dressing but as I get older, things have changed. With the aid from my friends, I guess its time for me to do some shopping and understand what are the nice clothes that suites most of my age group.)Studies!! An ‘A’ grade please!!
(I’m not asking for all ‘A’s but I just wish that I could get another ‘A’ grade for my academic results. Although it is not easy to get such a result in Polytechnic life but at least, I’m will strive my best and score high for my studies. I only managed to get my first ‘A’ grade last year, after being in this course for a year and a half??!! Gosh!! Time to study hard and play hard I guess…)
Singing goes smoothly(As all V.E. members will know, my singing is always the ‘best’ among all. I mean, I tend to go haywire these days while singing. I guess I didn’t rest my voice enough or I’m using the wrong techniques to sing. Well, I don’t know what is wrong with me but I guess, singing the right method and less shrieking noises should be cut down from me. Haha… Time to buck up!!)
Alright, I guess these are the major resolutions that I should be having. Hope I will endure the whole year with all these targets and make sure I’m going to achieve them. Happy 2008!! Tomorrow’s gonna be a new day and its time to start anew!! =]
