2 Weeks... Till Last Week... [Long update..]
Finally, I have the mood to post an entry again. Currently, there are no reports for me to rush during the weekends so I can spare a little time to blog over here. My blog seems to be so dead but never mind. Thanks for those who have been tagging over here… Yeah… Even if it is some crap, I also won’t mind at all. =]
Well, let’s move back, all the way back to 17th May first, while I start to say my last few points of the Charity Soccer Tournament at the Cage. Alright!! I shall start then…
May 17 - Charity Soccer Tournament
Getting the award of 2nd Runner-Up was not that bad at all. We manage to score a high goal difference but it was just luck that was not at our side, which ends us getting 3rd among all the 7 teams. At least, WE STILL WIN SOMETHING!! RIGHT??!!
Well, a few people to thank for the entire tournament, that I think its worth thanking them in my blog for what they had done.
Jack – As usual, the ‘technician’ of the team, guiding the team with the tactics to ensure that we win the game. It will be hard without him in the team as the team might not win due to confusion of our positions. Right tactics, right techniques, right vision = win the game!
Eugene – A great passer and seriously an accurate scorer for crucial games. Although both of us keep changing our roles continuously, it was still good that we are able to keep up with the pace and size of our opponents. For once, I do admit that both of us should say “Size isn’t a problem for us!” If Eugene don’t know what am I talking about, well, you can think back about Bala’s team, the guy that we against.
Jimmy – Although he never scores a single goal in the entire tournament, he did his best to past the ball to us, contributing and assisting most of the goals. Well, at least he was the rock of our team’s defense, it was 5 star performance from him.
Sheng - I do not know him well but for one thing, he sure is a power shooter, just like Gerrard’s volley. I’m not saying that he’s similar to Gerrard or else Eugene will be jealous. Haha… Well, most of all, his powerful shots forced the ball into the net had helped the team to win crucial matches as well. He’s a great forward that has everything to be a precise striker of any team.
Kenneth – The guardian of the goalpost! He might be injured but he will try and strive his best to win the game. I am not a good goalie but I do admit his guts to save the ball no matter how powerful is his shot. We finally found a quality goalie for the team, after 3 years as the tournament was held. Not saying Eugene is bad but he’s better at the midfield zone!
Wei Teck (That’s me!) – Well, there is nothing to say about my abilities. As usual, I have improved my passing and do more teamwork. I managed to learn something from Jack, which is to distract your opponents. Haha… But the next thing I shall practice on is my shooting. Weak legs of mine… Well, training starts everyday! Never give up is the way to motivate me to be stronger and better then.
Alright… That’s all for the Charity Soccer Tournament comments. Its time to move on!! Next up, 21st and 24th May, Lunchtime and Prison performance respectively by V.E.!!
May 21st & May 24th - V.E. Performances
The lunchtime performance in the school library was a better performance compared to the previous week at the school library. This time, we were singing because we were helping to collect funds from students to help the people who were affected by the cyclone in Myanmar and the earthquake in China. Everyone was just doing their part in charity. Hence, we sing hard, the rest of the students please donate hard. =]
Well, the performance ended with a classic finish of the song, ‘I’ll make The Difference”. As we began to sing, some of the audience started to wave their arms to show their support. I was going to laugh while singing but concentration is very important while a performance is done. Never mind about that, a standing ovation from the audience as we sang finish the song, with a great hype in it. Passion!! That’s what I meant!!
Next up for that week was the performance at the prison. I forgotten what was the prison but anyway, I shall not describe the location, to play it safe. Well, we went there with the dance groups such as Foreign Bodies and Ballroom Dancers. It was a weird feeling when I entered the place. It was so quiet that everyone needed to be discipline and the air was stiff enough to make you feel that the silence was terrible.
However, once we started performance to the guys of the prison, we learnt a lot from each other. It does not mean that talent does play a part in a person to develop something. It is the passion and positive thinking that make things work. We did it! The prisoners did it! Well, I do enjoy their performance after all. Once we were done, we went back to school and took a photo or two before we head to Carl’s Junior for dinner, to celebrate Cai Yun aka. ‘Chip’ birthday. =]
It was my first time eating Carl’s Junior and it was delicious. The only problem that I had was how to open my mouth wider to squeeze the burger into my mouth. Gosh! Food can be a real trouble sometimes…
May 25th - Adidas Sales & Food Fair @ Singapore Expo
I met up with Auntie Emily to visit the Adidas sales at the Singapore Expo since she wants to go there and take a look. For me, I was very tired, thanks to a call from Andy that morning around 2am. It was luckily that I started to doze off at 1.55am before he called. Otherwise, I will be killing for sure just for disturbing my sleep.
Anyway, for the entire day, I bought a pair of leisure shoes, a ball (for the team to play every week), a jacket (Han Xiong’s) and a cap (Liverpool) from the Adidas sales. First of all, why should I buy a ball since I have one at home? Well, the current ball that we have now is really like a piece of junk. The skin’s fade off, the texture is just like peeling. Well, it is also good to have a new ball isn’t it? Plus, the pricing of the ball is worthwhile to buy, only $15!
Next, a cap that has the logo of ‘Liverpool’? Now this is interesting but Auntie Emily is a die-hard Liverpool supporter. Well, her entire family is a Liverpool supporter. In addition, it seems her whole family, including aunts and uncles, all support Liverpool! What do I have to say about that?!! Well, as a boyfriend of hers, I guess, even being a Manchester United fan, I should try to support Liverpool too. There’s Torres, Gerrard, Alonso, Babel… and there goes the list. Yeah! A small cap to show my minimal support for the club. Yet, if it’s a match between Manchester United against Liverpool, Liverpool can be out of the question for that! Muhahaha!!!
** By the way, Liverpool jerseys were all sold off by the 3rd and last day of the sales. Whereas for Chelsea, there’s still a bunch of it. Liverpool fans do toppled the rest of the club supporters in Singapore after all. =X
Once done, we head to the Food Fair, which was just nearby, to look at the products there were selling. I bought some mushroom balls, as well as some buns, that are my favourite. I forgot what are they but its sweet and its tasty. Yeah!! Food fair!! That’s all.
Hmmm… Well, I shall update the rest probably tonight then. That’s for last week. =]
