Although it sounds contradicting of me typing something happy and sad in 2 posts entries a day, I just want to spend some time to summarize what had happened on the week of my holidays, especially the last week of my holidays. Let’s start from Wednesday, when it was a brand new day after a night’s rest after the camp. =]
I woke up around 12 plus and went to wash up. Auntie Emily was at my house too since she stayed over for a night. We had lunch at around 1 plus at the nearby 888 Plaza for some Laksa. My sister was saying that she was hungry and suggested to have lunch together. She told me she wanted to eat something plain, which gave me the first impression of eating porridge or something else that is good for someone who’s not feeling well. In the end, she told me she wanted to eat Laksa, which is considered ‘plain’ to her. = S What rubbish was she talking??!!
Han Xiong (my sister’s friend), Auntie Emily, my sister and I went to have our lunch together and we had pancake after that. I was hungry but still, it was a nice meal. Auntie Emily continued to stay at my house until 5 plus in the evening before she went home while I head for Kenneth’s birthday party at Pasir Ris. Meeting Andy at Yishun first, we ended up reaching the chalet around 8 plus after having our dinner together.
Actually, there was nothing much I felt like doing. It was a big house with a pool behind the balcony area and lots of food. I had some spaghetti that was prepared by Charmain and I really liked it a lot. Haha… While some of them went to dip themselves in the pool, Siew Boon, Raymond, Andy, Huai Xin and I were playing Mahjong. I was not totally playing but helped Huai Xin to be her loyal adviser in playing the game, making decisions for her to see which step she should take in order to win.
In the end, she won $8 and for me, I earned nothing. Haha… It’s alright for me as I seldom gamble. =] I wanted to go back home early but Andy asked me to wait, which ended up we taking a cab home. I was tired that night but I will always remember that Zulfadli was the star for the night, with nothing to wear, he was running around the whole house with his hands covering his… Alright, shall not describe on that but it was a fun chalet. Well, happy birthday to Kenneth for that day.
The next day was project!! I met Andy at 9am and we were rushing our reports, which was late for submission to Kenny. For the entire afternoon, I was feeling tired and sleepy. I don’t have the mood to do my reports, especially when my music is not played in my ears. It’s weird when I could not do my work with no entertainment to keep my momentum from moving. At the end of the day, I went back home and ‘K-O’! I was sleeping on the sofa for the next few hours before I went to shower and had dinner for the night.
Friday’s soccer was quite fun. Although I was late, I still manage to play part of the game. The team was able to win all matches until the last 3 minutes when we let loose our defense and let our opponents to score against us. I was doing well with my defending but still, I was tired at the end, considering after doing a lot of exercises during the camp and had inadequate rest for the past few days. No goals from me but I did well, I guess. I was happy with my play and as simple as that, it was a good warm-up for me.
Saturday was swimming training and I met up with Cai Yun and Ping Ding to swim at Yishun Swimming Complex. I was having training after that so I guess I did trouble them to take the effort to come over to Yishun just for a swim. Cai Yun and Ping Ding were learning freestyle Ping Ding learnt quite fast. I did not teach anything proper that day but I guess the best person who learns the most was Cai Yun. She does not know how to swim and slowly, bit by bit, she managed to take the strokes at its simplest way, and started to swim the correct manner for the stroke. Well done, Cai Yun!! =]
I went to Jonathan’s house that night as it was James’s birthday. That night, while the rest was playing Mahjong till the early morning, I was watching Euro 2008. Netherlands against Russia was a nice match, with Russia having more shots than Netherlands. In the end, Netherlands lost and Eugene, Jack, Jia Long and I were thinking what was wrong with the team, who played total football and were not themselves that night. Gosh! What a stupid match…
At least, Eugene and I sober ourselves with that boring match by playing Pro Evolution 08 after the match. I won the 3 matches out of 3. The first game was not counted as Eugene chose the wrong team. The second game was alright but I won him by 2 goals due to his low morale players who could not play well. The last match was the better one, with an extra time played and the score line was 2-2, we head to penalties and I won it, by the slightest margin. =]
It was a fun night, not only to celebrate James’s birthday but also a belated celebration for Raymond’s birthday. Last but not least, for Eugene, who is going to attend National Service soon. The holidays ended so fast and projects are tumbling up. Work hard for now… I guess…
