My Birthday... Darn!! I'm 20 now...
It is time for blogging again. I feel very guilty for not posting an entry on my birthday, which was last Saturday. It is a meaningful day but I failed to update a post because of 2 reasons; lots of projects to handle and I was too tired on my birthday. It sounds like they are all excuses but as a Polytechnic student, sometimes we have no choice but to do the stuff that we do not like, such as projects and assignments. Yes, I’m 20 right now but everyone is still reminding about the number ‘2’ that will stay through my entire life for the next 9 years? -.-“
Well, I shall start with my birthday post now. It started early in the morning, from 12am onwards, with Auntie Emily messaged me first, followed by Jimmy for wishing me ‘Happy Birthday’. I was happy to see this message but at 12am, I was still stuck in the bathroom bathing. Haha… The first minute of my birthday, I was bathing… It sounded weird but indeed true, since I came home from my dinner after soccer. The next hour or so, I was busy with my reports again , until it was 2 plus in the morning, I went to bed…
The following morning, I woke up at 9 plus and was back to reports and projects. That is how I celebrate my birthday at the start of a new day, I thought. I was thinking of finishing them before I went out, which I failed to do so in the end. There was too much stuff to do during the weekends. Auntie Emily came around 11 plus to pass me my birthday present; a jigsaw puzzle that she spend time to do. I like it very much as she had spent quite some time to do this. Well, we went out from my home around 12 plus and head down to Raffles City to have our breakfast cum lunch.
Ding Tai Feng was the stop for lunch, which is a place for tim sum. I love tim sum a lot but don’t have the time to visit these restaurants to have an enjoyable meal. Well, on the table came a few foods, with buns, fried rice (Auntie Emily’s meal) and my dumpling noodles (mine). As usual, Auntie Emily could not finish her food so I need to help her to eat. However, I really want to emphasize that the place is indeed a good venue for tim sum. Yummy! I was thinking if I should bring my Mum over there during her birthday… Hmm…. I’m still considering…
Once we finished our meal, next up was the Singapore Flyer. It was my first time taking the Singapore Flyer, so as Auntie Emily. Once we stepped into the cabin of the Flyer, Auntie Emily was holding my hand tight. She has phobia towards heights so I need to guide her once in a while in the cabin. As we get higher, the view was getting more amazing. You can see the tiny people at the foot of the Flyer, waiting for their queue for the rehearsal. Although the ride was 1/2 hour short, it was still a nice experience. It was a pity that we did not board the flyer at 7pm or 8pm, which you can look at the jet fighters and fireworks display in mid air that day. Well, still, it’s a nice right to be with your love one to see the city together. =]
Dinner was a surprise for me, which I was already suspecting that sometime is not right when Auntie Emily asked me weird questions while we were out. Anyway, dinner was at Café Cartel in Plaza Singapura. I really appreciate that everyone came to celebrate my birthday. Winnie, Shi Pei, Cai Yun, Kah Hong, Pauline, Paul, Ping Ding, Jia Bao, Eric, Xiu Hui and Auntie Emily. I have a nice meal that night, with some nice displays from the sky, thanks to the National Day rehearsal. My meal, as usual will be upsized by Auntie Emily’s portion but seriously, the food was delicious, especially when Xiu Hui and I ate our Truffle Cheesecake, which was a birthday cake for both of us for our celebration. =]
Dinner was not over that night, as we walked our way to Orchard and had some Hooch drinking, which we bought the wine from a 7-11 outlet. My face turned red, so as Cai Yun, while the rest were still fine. Gosh! I was so tired and ‘drunk’ that Auntie Emily advised me to go back home instead of sending her home. I listened to her but once I was home, I went to a deep sleep after my shower. It was a nice sleep actually.
The day has 24 hours and I did enjoy my day within that period of time, thanks to the wonderful happenings that are planned on that day. I really want to thank those who have sent your wishes to me, as well as those who came out to accompany me in celebrating my birthday.
While for Auntie Emily, I really thank you for organizing such a wonderful day for me. Thanks for the present and last but not least, I love you. =]
